We are excited to have Sarah Alexander, LCSW,present:Attending to Emotions
Description: How a person frames emotions is a crucial component of their mental health and interpersonal skills. While most people see emotions as the problem, the truth is that they are often a genius response to the problem, pointing people in the direction of the exact solution required.
Participants will gain an understanding of:
the role of the limbic system (i.e. emotions) in decision-making and its relevance as an access point in clinical practice;
the questions posed by specific emotions in the anger and fear families; and
how to apply that information in their work with clients who have eating disorders.
